MEET BRIDGET!

Bridget is a happy 7 year old, now attending Muteesa II Memorial School where she is in Primary 1. At first, Bridget struggled academically because she had not had any educational foundation but we are happy to report she has caught up and is performing well in her classes. She is very active in all the school activities, social with people around her and helpful to both teachers and her fellow students.

Bridget was even selected to be the dormitory councilor in the school, a prestigious leadership position which she is so excited to hold. She represents her fellow students from the girls’ dormitory to the administration of the school. Actually, that explains her new school uniform which type is only dressed by councilors.

Bridget and her mother have gone through a lot of hardships ever since they were thrown out of their rented room because of nonpayment.  They have been hosted by friends to Bridget’s mother and they have been hopping from home to home. And for that reason, she was one of the chosen PHU children to be enrolled in the boarding section of Muteesa II Mutundwe Primary School. She is now happy and settled in the boarding section.

She was enrolled in the PHU scholarship program in July 2022.
