A Successful Night of Heart and Hope
The inaugural benefit for Peter’s Heart raised essential funds to support children and women in Uganda.
Close to 200 people turned out for the sold-out event — A Night of Heart and Hope — on Thursday, October 30, to show their support of Peter’s Heart. The torrential rain outside did not dampen the enthusiasm at the evening event, filled with good friends, food, and drinks.
Thanks to dozens of generous donations, Peter’s Heart will be able to enroll 30 new students at the beginning of the Ugandan school year in February. We will also be able to fund a new school bus, tuition, school supplies, healthcare, mentor salaries, women empowerment initiatives, and more. We look forward to sharing our progress with you.
Thank you to our emcee, Dan Orlovsky, for running the show; gracious hosts, Corrie and Justin Smith and Marissa and Brad Coleman; committee members Rinarisa Defronze, Roseann Elfstrum, Emma Gallo, Ilka Gregory, Jennifer Kim, Julie McAllister, Johanna Simon; our student volunteers; the staff at Aspetuck Valley Country Club; and all of the guests who joined us.
We premiered a new video at the event, showcasing the work Peter’s Heart. Check it out!
